Half day holiday in Punjab

The offices of Punjab Government, Boards & Corporations and also educational institutions located in Chandigarh and Mohali will remain closed for the second half of 08th November 2011, (Tuesday) i.e.today, to enable the government employees to participate in ‘Nagar Kirtan’, to be organized on the eve of birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

However the offices of State, Boards, Corporations and also Education Institutions in rest of the State would remain closed for the second half of November 09, 2011 (Wednesday).

A notification in this regard has been issued to all Heads of Departments and Managing Directors of Boards & Corporations, Registrar, Punjab & Haryana High

Court, Commissioners of all the Divisions, Deputy Commissioners of all Districts and SDMs of all Sub-Divisions throughout the State.
